DAS WEIZENKORN
In the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-8, Mark 4:1-9, Luke 8:4-8) Jesus compares the scattering of grains of wheat with the distribution of his word. Since that is exactly what we want to do here, namely proclaim the Word of God and our experience with it, we have chosen grain of wheat (WEIZENKORN) as the name for our blog.
Who are we? We are Christians, i.e. we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior and want to live our lives with Him. In doing so, we experience how he speaks to us and guides us. It is a great joy to experience the living God in this way, so we want more people to know Jesus Christ.
We love the Bible and cherish it from beginning to end as the eternal, unchanging Word of God. It tells us about many things, yet it has one center. When the Lord Jesus and His heavenly Father revealed their secret to the disciples in Matthew 16, it became clear what the whole Word of God and the work of the Lord Jesus is aiming at: It is about Christ and the building up of His church, about the dwelling of God among men.
Therefore, we meet as the church in our cities and experience the fullness of Christ's riches together there.
